Welcome to Endeavour's October half-term Sports Course 2023. 

Times: 09.00am - 2.00pm

Dates: 23rd & 24th October

Location: Marlborough House School, Hawkhurst

Sports: Cricket, Tennis, Football & Multi-Sports

Year Groups: Reception (5yrs) - Year 8 

Join us for a fantastic couple days of sport. Over the week your children will take part in Football, Cricket, Tennis and many other sport specific games and skills such as hand-eye coordination and agility. A typical day at Endeavour can be found below.

9.00AM - 9.15am: Registration

9.15am - 1.00pm. The morning and first session after lunch is broken into three sessions.  Each session will focus on a specific sport such as football, cricket or tennis. During this session we will work on technique and a specific set of skills within each sport (e.g., forehands.) This aims to improve their ability in each sport regardless of the level at which they started at. Each child will get three sessions of different sports, the sports will vary depending on the season and specialist coaching staff on site.

Within this period there will also be a short drinks break and a lunch break. These are a great opportunity for children to relax, recover, take on some energy and meet new people.

The final session of the day has a focus on team games and wider sportsmanship. The children will play a variety of games such as capture the flag, bench ball, kickball rounds and many more. These are a great opportunity for children to learn how to be competitive whilst enjoying the game and demonstrating good sportsmanship. For the older children, this is a perfect occasion for them to take on some leadership through being a team leader or captain. For everyone, it is a great time to mix with people of different ages and forge new friendships whilst developing their sporting abilities.
